About Us
Balance Chestnut Hill, Training for the Mind and Body, is an exclusive Personal Training Studio, Group Fitness classes and state of the art Indoor Cycling. We are located in the posh Chestnut Hill area.
Our emphasis is One-on-One and Small Group Training as well as Group Fitness classes such as Cardio Kick-Boxing, Circuit Training, TRX Suspension Training, Yoga, Pilates and Indoor Cycling.
Our concept in creating Balance Chestnut Hill was finding a way to set us apart from the mainstream gyms that flood the health and fitness industry. We want to ensure that we provide a private setting for our clients and make everyone feel comfortable while working out.
Maintaining the intimate setting Balance has to offer, we encourage people to reserve a spot for all group classes as they tend to reach capacity rather quickly. However, “drop-ins” are always welcome.
When you enter our 3,000 sq. ft studio, you step into a relaxing lounge where you can enjoy complimentary healthy snacks. The studio has an open gym area, featuring state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment as well as several Resistance bands, Med-balls and Physio-Balls. We have 2 exercise rooms: 1 for the larger group fitness classes and another for our indoor cycling classes, as well as a massage therapy room.
Our methodology behind our fitness programs concentrate on functional-training: training the body in its natural ability of movement. In creating our exercise programs and unique group fitness classes, we focus on using a combination of strength, cardio, flexibility and nutrition to aid in developing a healthy and balanced mind and body.
The concept behind Balance was devised by three trainers; Amy Carolla, Aaron Sistrunk and Johari Smith. Their passion for health and fitness led the young fitness professionals to finally achieve their dreams in opening their own studio after years of working in gyms and private instruction. Having knowledge and experience in nutrition and rehabilitation, the three partners put their minds and hearts together in creating the foundation for Balance which is built on hard work, dedication, and passion for the health and wellness of others. Their vision is to create an exclusive atmosphere where people can learn, practice and adapt a healthy way of living.
